Starting college? Think about internships now!

internship fair 2017

For college students, an internship is essential now more than ever. Even though education after high school is important, and higher levels of education typically translate into advanced careers, a degree alone doesn’t directly mean skilled knowledge within the workplace, and students often lack the hands-on job experience that is needed to gain employment.

For this reason, internships are a beneficial opportunity that allow students to grow in their career field and get a feel for the daily work environment.

The Launch Your Future Internship Fair is an exclusive internship opportunity for college students only. The event will be at the Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts, 51 Sheboygan Street in Fond du Lac, on Friday, October 5, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students will have the opportunity to meet with employers who are actively looking for interns.

The full agenda for the day can be viewed here.

Reasons a student should seek an internship:
• To gain experience
• Acquire a better understanding of your role and industry
• Learn new skills; put into practice
• Build confidence
• Improve communication
• Make professional connections

Registration is required.

Interested students should register online before Friday, September 28 at bit.ly/InternshipFairFDL.
