Culinary Instructor: Tim Thomas

Culinary Instructor: Tim Thomas

Tim Thomas has been sharing his culinary magic with students at Moraine Park’s Hartford Regional Center for over 12-years.

He has built an impressive repertoire while running a small business in West Bend, the Panary Bread Shoppe. His accomplishments include developing over 30 different bread variations, cakes, and pastries. Tim’s cake designs have even been featured in Better Homes and Gardens magazine!

Tim is an alumnus of Ripon College, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theory/Music Literature, with an emphasis on foreign language. He continued his education at the American Institute of Baking. Tim had the opportunity to serve as an apprentice for the late Chef Louis Szathmary, who is best known for heading The Bakery restaurant in Chicago, and writing The Chef’s Secret Cookbook, a New York Times bestseller.  Most recently, he has worked as a lead production cook at Froedtert Hospital for over 9-years. He consults on menus, baking, and catering services for businesses in the greater Milwaukee area.

His passion is to create healthy, delicious, and authentic foods. Tim’s opportunities to travel internationally, and work in many areas of the culinary field, allow him to bring diversity to Moraine Park.
