Congratulations IT Careers students!

Moraine Park IT Careers graduates

Moraine Park Technical College held an IT Careers Completion Ceremony on June 30. Three students received Content Management Systems certificates, two students received Website Security certificates, twelve students earned iOS Web Application Developer certificates, and ten students earned the Android Web Application Development certificate.  Four students, Nathan Adams, Anne Allmann, Elizabeth Krill, and Derick Kruger received special congratulations for completing all four of the certificates earned through the U.S. Department of Labor Interface grant program:  https://www.morainepark.edu/itcareers

The celebration event began with a welcome from Dr. Fred Rice, Dean of Applied Technology and Trades, followed by an introduction of the spring 2016 cohort student projects by Jeff Stueber, Business Management Instructor. The spring cohort students of Andrew Brandenburg, Moses Cohen, Eric Gulbrandsen, Rodney Kern, Jenna O’Connor, Julie Thistle, Jeffrey Trepanier and Edith Wandell, designed and built brand new websites and mobile apps for small business partners Hair of the Dog Graphics and Creek Automation.  The students presented the beautiful, soon-to-be published websites and apps, and businesses were in attendance to experience and appreciate the excitement!   Both business owners, Kristen Deutsch and Mark Creek presented the students with company sponsored shirts to say thank you for all the good work. The ceremony wrapped up with congratulatory comments from Bonnie Baerwald, MPTC President and Anne Lemke, Grant Manager, followed by cake!
