Cosmetology “Highlights” – Week 6 – The Life of a Cosmetology Student

This week the Cosmetology students are learning cap highlighting.  Cap highlighting is a technique to create highlights in the hair.  It is used for clients with shorter hair and one advantage is that the hair will process at the same time and evenly.  The students put the perforated cap on their manikin and then use a tool which resembles a crochet hook to pull strands of hair through the holes in the cap.  Want to get in on the fun?  Check out all the information on our cosmetology careers.
