Honoring Mike Miller

Moraine Park staff, faculty and board members; as well as representatives and city officials from Washington County and the City of West Bend, gathered on Monday, April 16 to honor Mike Miller for his many years of service to the College and West Bend community.

Miller served on the Moraine Park Technical College board from 2008-2018. He also served as a City of West Bend Alderperson from 1976-1984, the City of West Bend Mayor from 1987-2005, and on the Washington County Board of Supervisors from 2008-2018.

At the recognition, Miller was presented with a gift in honor of his service. The Moraine Park Technical College Welding Program students constructed a pergola in their Fabrication 1 course, which is taught evenings at the Jackson center.  The pergola was placed on the walking path on the Moraine Park West Bend campus. Students who constructed the pergola, along with their instructor Steve Henderleiter, were in attendance at the event.

Moraine Park students who constructed the pergola include, Michael Bourgeois, Tucker Dombrowski, John Farrington, Stephen Kodell, Peter Lomis, Hunter Miller, Hunter Reineck, Jacob Schopp, Brian Simmons, and Tyler Stadelmayer.
