Discover your future at Moraine Park

Moraine Park Technical College is holding its annual Discover Moraine Park event on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the West Bend and Beaver Dam campuses and Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the Fond du Lac campus, both from 4:30 -6 p.m.

This event is great for anyone contemplating career change, graduating from high school or completing your GED/HSED requirements to fast track their college admissions process. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with instructors from their desired program area, as well as staff from admissions, financial aid and student services. The following program areas will be featured; business, technology, digital arts, consumer and hospitality services, engineering, environmental sciences and trades, general education, health science and human services and manufacturing.

Attendees will receive a $30 application fee waiver, valid towards Associate Degree and Technical Diploma applications. Photo ID is required.

Moraine Park to host Rwandan genocide survivor Feb. 11

Moraine Park Technical College is pleased to welcome Jaqueline Murekatete, internationally recognized human rights activist and genocide survivor, as a guest speaker at Moraine Park’s Fond du Lac campus Tuesday, Feb. 11, beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the cafeteria.

Born in Rwanda in 1984, Murekatete was not yet 10 years old when she lost her entire immediate family and most of her extended family to the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. 2014 marks the 20-year anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide. 

Murekatete has been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, Huffington Post, Fast Company, Teen Vogue, Glamour and People. She has also appeared on CNN, PBS, NBC, ABC, MTV and many other worldwide media outlets.
