Moraine Park offers business training in July

Moraine Park Technical College offers ongoing credit and noncredit training opportunities for business and industry to help improve their competitive edge as well as develop and retain a skilled workforce.

Listed here are courses that are available in July:

Black Belt Certification: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, July 13-14 and 27-28 and Aug. 10-11, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Room T-105, West Bend campus. Participants who have successfully completed the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and project are eligible to enroll in this program to prepare for the ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt Certification test. The program includes 48 hours of classroom instruction. Cost is $1,900 per person, which includes materials, lunch and refreshments.

Microsoft Word 2003 – Level 1: Thursday, July 15, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Room O-106.1, Fond du Lac campus. Learn how to create/edit a document, format text and paragraphs, use Word’s tools to proof documents, create tables and use mail merge. Cost is $199 per person, which includes materials and lunch.

Microsoft Word 2003 – Level 2: Tuesday, July 20, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Room O-106.1, Fond du Lac campus. Learn about lists, customized tables and charts, customized graphics and advanced mail merge commands. Cost is $199 per person, which includes materials and lunch.

Mastercam Basic Mill: Wednesday and Thursday, July 21-22, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Room T-205, West Bend campus. This class is intended for new Mastercam users who have completed Introduction to Mastercam X3. Topics covered include tool and material libraries and 2-1/2 axis (Mill Level 1) machining functions including contouring, pocketing, drilling, c-hooks, customization and verification. Cost is $675 per person, which includes materials.

Microsoft Word 2007 – Level 1: Thursday, July 29, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Room O-107.1, Fond du Lac campus. Explore the new look of Word and examine the features to create, format and edit professional documents, lists and tables. Learn how to use numbered/bulleted lists and tabs. Cost is $199 per person, which includes materials and lunch.

In addition to classroom courses, Moraine Park offers a variety of online courses in partnership with ed2go® Learn More, a division of ThomsonTM, that can be taken from your home or office at times that are convenient for you.

Registrations should be made at least one week prior to the start of a seminar.
