Snowshoe weaving course offered through Moraine Park

     Beginning Nov. 29, Moraine Park Technical College will be offering a course on traditional Ojibwa-style snowshoe weaving. It will teach the correct way to embellish snowshoes with wood burning, painting or set-ins. This course, 815-642-001, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29, Dec. 6 and 13 from 6-9:30 p.m. at the Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. The last class, Saturday, Jan. 5, will be a field trip with the completed snowshoes. The cost is $26.25 and registration deadline is Nov. 1.
