Students seeking to earn extra college credits have a great opportunity to do so during Moraine Park Technical College’s annual Winter Interim Jan. 3-16.

This is the third year Moraine Park, with campuses in Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac and West Bend, has offered Winter Interim and, according to vice president of Academics and Economic Development Dan Ensalaco, it continues to grow in popularity.

“Moraine Park's Winter Interim is designed to allow students to use the normal downtime between the fall and spring semesters to be productive and to pick up courses in a condensed format,” said Ensalaco. “Selected courses often serve the needs of both our Moraine Park student population and students attending other colleges who want to get ahead by taking an additional course. This includes students from residential colleges who are home for their holiday break. Participation in the Winter Interim session allows students to graduate on time or to reduce their course load during the more traditional spring semester.”

A wide variety of classes in several areas of study are available for the interim, including Accounting, Administrative Assistant, Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, Automotive Technician, Barber/Cosmetologist, Building Trades, Business Management, Child Care Services, Chiropractic Technician, CNC/Tool and Die, Electricity, General Education, Graphic Communications – Electronic Prepress, Health Information Technology, Information Technology, Marketing, Mechanical Design Technician, ursing, Radiography, Respiratory Therapist, Supervisory Management, Surgical Technology, Veterinary Technician, and more.
