Moraine Park Technical College recently released its winter/spring corporate training schedule.

MorainePark provides an abundance of workforce solutions to area employers, including needs assessment, seminars and workshops, consulting, executive overviews, customized training, business process improvement and technical assistance.

Among the offerings are Six Sigma White and Green Belt certification, with Black Belt available in the fall.
Six Sigma principles can be applied in any business setting to achieve and sustain bottom-line results through the elimination of process defects. A Lean Enterprise certificate series is also available. Lean Principles can be applied in any business setting to systematically eliminate waste, improve quality and enhance customer satisfaction to drive top- and bottom-line performance.
MorainePark offers both solutions in a project-based learning environment where the principles are immediately applied to the business setting to ensure a return on the employer’s training investment.

Many other training programs are available, such as the Dale Carnegie Executive Leadership series, the Frontline Leadership series, Human Resources – Legal Issues series from VisionPoint Productions, Inc., international business, sales and marketing, safety seminars and industrial certification, noncredit Internet courses offered in partnership with ed2go® Learn More, financial management, government contracting and home inspection (in conjunction with the American Home Inspectors Training Institute).

“In today’s competitive business environment, we all need to find ways to work smarter,” said Kathy Schlieve, business development specialist with MorainePark’s Economic and Workforce Development team. “For an employer, that can mean training or retraining their workforce to ensure they have the talent needed to compete tomorrow. It can also mean focusing efforts on business process improvements to increase productivity and improve quality through the elimination of non-value added activities. At MorainePark, we spend time up front working with an employer to understand their business needs. We then recommend and tailor solutions to maximize the employer’s training investments.”
