Thinking about starting college, changing careers or brushing up on your skills? Check out Campus Snapshots at Moraine Park Technical College’s Beaver Dam campus on Thursday, April 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Career Snapshots is a casual event where you can learn more about a specific program, meet instructors, take a look at labs and get a starting point for the admissions process. Instructors will be on hand to answer questions, providing “snapshots” that give an idea of what to expect when pursuing a particular associate degree, technical diploma, certificate or apprenticeship as well as the types of jobs that can be found in that area.
Highlighted programs will include Accounting, Accounting Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Apprenticeships, Business Management, Chiropractic Technician, Electrical Power Distribution, English Language Learning, GED/HSED programs, IT - Micro Programmer Specialist, IT - Web Developer, Legal Administrative Professional, Medical Assistant, Nursing, Office Assistant, Supervisory Management (accelerated program for working adults) and Welding. Some of these programs are available online to accommodate students with tight schedules. The Chiropractic Technician program is offered one Friday night and Saturday per month.
Moraine Park Technical College provides an affordable education in just two years or less. Graduates can get their career started sooner or have the option of transferring certain degrees to a four-year college.
