Students have a new opportunity to earn extra college credits through the implementation of Moraine Park Technical College’s Summer Interim.
The Summer Interim runs May 21 through June 1 at Moraine Park’s campuses in Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac and
“Moraine Park's two-week Summer Interim will enable students to use the normal downtime between spring and summer semesters to pick up courses in a condensed format,” said Dan Ensalaco, Moraine Park vice president of academics and economic development. “Doing so can help them reduce their course load during the traditional semesters or pick up credits to graduate earlier. Selected courses often serve the needs of both our Moraine Park student population and students from residential colleges, who are home for summer break and want to get ahead by taking an additional course, but still have a majority of the summer to work, take other courses, or just enjoy their free time before school starts up again in August.”
Classes in several areas of study are available for the interim, including Accounting, Administrative Assistant, Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, Automotive Technician, Barber/Cosmetologist, Building Trades, Business Management, Child Care Services, Chiropractic Technician, CNC/Tool and Die, Electricity, General Education, Graphic Communications – Electronic Prepress, Health Information Technology, Information Technology, Marketing, Mechanical Design Technician, Nursing, Radiography, Respiratory Therapist, Supervisory Management, Surgical Technology, Veterinary Technician, and more.
In addition to the Summer Interim, Moraine Park is also offering its traditional summer school classes beginning Monday, June 4.
