Moraine Park offers building and pond maintenance session

Moraine Park Technical College is offering a Pond Construction and Maintenance session on Saturday, May 12, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Beaver Dam campus.

Topics will include permits, construction, wildlife ponds, controlling algae, weeds and pond ecology. Participants will learn how to build a recreational pond and find out if one pond will serve for fishing, swimming and wildlife.

This one-day session will be presented by Allan Gruentzel, biochemist for UW-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee.
