Amanda Hruska, admissions associate, and JoAnn Giese-Kent, institutional research associate, of Moraine Park Technical College successfully completed the year-long Wisconsin Leadership Development Institute (WLDI).
The program is part of the Chair Academy, a division of the Maricopa Community College District in Mesa, Arizona. The Academy’s purpose is to advance organizational leadership and provide succession planning for leaders in community and technical colleges. In Wisconsin, training is provided through the Wisconsin Leadership Development Institute.
WLDI includes an initial week of on-site training; a practicum experience involving implementation of an individualized professional development plan focusing on the application of skills learned during training; a mentor program; and a final week of on-site training consisting of additional leadership issues. Participants are nominated by their individual colleges.
Julie Budde, Moraine Park network and systems support associate, is currently enrolled in WLDI.
