Calling all gamers! Moraine Park Technical College’s third LAN party will take place this month, with the
main attraction being Microsoft’s recently released Halo 3.
The free gaming event runs from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, in the Cyber Center cafeteria on Moraine Park’s Fond du Lac campus.
The Halo 3 Tournament is for experienced gamers. It begins with a warm-up from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., with the competition running from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Participants are required to bring their own controller and a play and charge kit. If that isn’t possible, submit a request when registering and gear will be supplied at no cost if available.
Free-for-all PC gaming takes place from 4 p.m. until the Halo 3 tournament starts. Refreshments will be available from 6 to 6:30 p.m., with proceeds going to the Moraine Park Computer Club. PC users are asked to arrive before 4 p.m. to set up their equipment. They need to bring their monitor, tower, keyboard, mouse, headphones, power cables and an Ethernet cable at least seven feet long, plus original copies of games they wish to play. (Copies of games will not be provided.)
Sponsors of the LAN party are Game Crazy of Fond du Lac, NewEgg, Ideazon, Bawls, Vroom Foods Inc. and K107.1 FM of Fond du Lac.
Registration is required by Oct. 22 and space is limited with a few left. Gamers must be ages 18 and up. To register, contact Zach Wagner at (920) 960-2663 or email@example.com, or sign up with Adam Ninmann in Room A-107 at Moraine Park’s Fond du Lac campus or at Game Crazy, 459 W.
