The student Corrections Club at Moraine Park Technical College is holding a collection drive for the youngest among those in need: babies.
The Diaper Drive will benefit the Family Resource Center (FRC) of Fond du Lac County Inc., a Fond du Lac Area United Way partner agency and a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the healthy growth and development of children and families through a variety of comprehensive programs and services. It offers pregnancy testing, pre/postnatal support, in-home parenting education, on-site parenting classes & playgroups, and outreach to the Spanish-speaking community.
“The Family Resource Center believes that every family from every walk of life and income range deserves support, education and resources,” said Bethany Rusch, FRC executive director. “We are proud to partner with the Corrections Club and our Board member, Christine Jaglowski, in this effort. Moraine Park students are second to none in the manner in which they care for those in their community.”
From Oct. 29 through Nov. 11, the student club is collecting packages of diapers in sizes 3-6, along with baby wash and baby shampoo. At Moraine Park’s Fond du Lac campus, 235 N. National Ave., drop-off sites are located in the E building lounge, the O building lounge and at the Registration desk. Other drop-off sites can be found at the Fond du Lac Police Department, 126 N. Main St., and Mickey B's Bar and Grill in Silica, N8545 County QQ. Cash donations can be made at the three Ma & Pa’s locations and at 2 Fabulous, 1161 W. Johnson St.
