Moraine Park Technical College has selected Pete Rettler as the Campus and Community Partner for the West Bend and Online Campuses. Rettler has been serving as the interim West Bend administrator since May.
In his new position, Rettler will also continue to lead the expanding presence of online instructional activities. This includes the instructional technology areas and the development of new degree programs that are delivered in an online format, thus enabling students to complete their Moraine Park degrees without physically attending any of the three Moraine Park campuses or 20 regional and instructional centers.
“Pete has made a smooth transition to his role on our West Bend Campus by quickly becoming involved in the community and maintaining our strong business relationships. His expertise in online education will help us continue and grow our innovative career programs using technology to deliver career-focused degrees at Moraine Park Technical College,” said Moraine Park President Gayle Hytrek.
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to serve the West Bend community as well as retain my leadership role with instructional technology,” said Rettler. “We have seen an increasing demand for our online programs since we first introduced our initial online degree in 2001. Leading both the West Bend Campus and the Online Campus initiative is a good combination that complements the West Bend Smart Community efforts.”
A life-long resident of Washington County and an active member of the West Bend community, Rettler will receive his master’s degree in Management and Organizational Behavior from Silver Lake College in December 2007. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Business Finance from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and is certified by the Wisconsin Technical College System in computer information systems and computer software and as an instructional supervisor.
Rettler can be reached by phone at 262-335-5706 or via e-mail at email@example.com.
