Ten Culinary Arts students slice cooked turkey for a Salvation Army Christmas dinner.Moraine Park Technical College students got into the spirit of giving this holiday season with several clubs and the Student Senates collecting food, clothing, toys and money for families who are less fortunate.

At Moraine Park's Beaver Dam campus, the Student Senate collected donations from students and staff for the Dodge County Food Pantry and Clothes for Kids. The food pantry received $540 that was raised from ticket sales to a movie day at Roger’s Cinema, and Clothes for Kids received clothes, toys and $100. Members of the Electrical Power Distribution Club again volunteered to ring bells for the Salvation Army in Beaver Dam.

The Fond du Lac campus Student Senate and the Salvation Army of Fond du Lac teamed up for a sock drive to help keep feet of all sizes warm this winter. And the Culinary Arts students assisted the Salvation Army by preparing 43 turkeys for the first annual Community Christmas Dinner.

The West Bend campus had a Giving Tree decorated with ornaments that featured items for Moraine Park families in need. More than 30 gifts were provided due to the generosity of numerous fellow Moraine Park students and staff. Both the Chiropractic Technician Club and Wisconsin Marketing and Management Association student groups also helped collect gifts this year.
