First-time students who will begin classes at Moraine Park Technical College this spring are invited to attend New Student Orientation, a special “kickoff” session held at each campus.
The event gives new students the opportunity to meet each other, connect with Moraine Park staff and find out about resources to make their first semester the easiest transition possible. Financial Aid staff will explain when checks will be available and Registration staff will talk about parents’ right to access a student’s record. Other staff will discuss how to find a part-time job while attending school using the College’s TechConnect system, and how to access free tutoring services. Students can get their student IDs, purchase books and get help finding their classrooms.
New Student Orientation will be held at the Beaver Dam campus on Tuesday, Jan. 8, from 3-6 p.m.; at the
West Bend campus on Wednesday, Jan. 9, from 4:30-7:30 p.m.; and at the Fond du Lac campus on Thursday, Jan. 10, from 1-4 p.m.
New students who haven’t already registered for orientation should do so by calling 1-800-472-4554, ext. 5854, or signing up online through Jan. 2 at www.morainepark.edu. Just click on New Student Orientation in the MPTC Presents marquee and follow the directions.
