Just in time to help alleviate cabin fever, Moraine Park Technical College is offering free entertainment at its three campuses this month.
Beaver Dam campus: Comedian Robbie Printz will entertain on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 11:30 a.m. to
12:30 p.m. in the commons. Printz has been on NBC, MTV, A&E and Comedy Central and won the Boston Comedy Festival in 2002 and 2003. His free performance is a reminder of childhood wonders and adulthood absurdities, delivered with high energy and a fast pace. The public may purchase lunch for $6 per meal. For more information, contact Lisa Manuell, student involvement specialist, at 920-887-4462.
Fond du Lac campus: A Martin Luther King Jr. Day luncheon on Monday, Jan. 21, will feature a free showing of the HBO movie Boycott starting at 11 a.m. On Tuesday, Jan. 22, Denver-based singer/songwriter Michael James will perform his melody-based alternative rock from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. During both events, held in the Cyber Center cafeteria, lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a cost of $5 for the general public. For more information, contact Adam Ninmann, student involvement specialist, at 920-924-3101.
West Bend campus: Acoustic guitarist Sean McConnell will play in the cafeteria from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22. Lunch will be available at cost to the general public. For more information, contact Bradley Mitchell, student involvement specialist, at 262-335-5743 or email@example.com.
