Chiropractic Assistant delegation course offered

Moraine Park Technical College will offer a Chiropractic Assistant radiography delegation course at its Beaver Dam campus in May and June.

 

This course introduces radiological information and skills that are required for chiropractic assistants to take X-rays in the chiropractic health setting. Students will complete 48 hours of classroom instruction, plus 52 hours of radiography-related on-the-job experience under the supervision of a chiropractor. Upon passing the course, the American Chiropractic Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ACRRT) Limited Permit examination will be given, which is the basic-level test after 100 hours of coursework. Successful completion of the course and the exam will satisfy the Wisconsin State Licensing Board requirement for X-ray delegation to an unlicensed person.

 

The course will be offered on the following days:

 

            Thursday, May 15       12-8 p.m.

            Friday, May 16            8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

            Saturday, May 17        8 a.m.-4 p.m.

            Thursday, June 12       12-8 p.m.

            Friday, June 13            8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.

            Saturday, June 14        8 a.m.-4 p.m. (ACRRT exam will be taken from 2-4 p.m.)

 

Early registration is encouraged. To register, call Moraine Park at 1-800-472-4554 and ask for Registration. The course number is 523-406-002 and tuition is $234.13. The nonrefundable ACCRT exam fee is $90 (subject to change); bring the fee in the form of a check made out to “ACRRT” to the first class to register for the exam. Moraine Park’s Beaver Dam campus is located at 700 Gould St.
