Thanks to a high school scholarship award program from the Moraine Park Foundation, 17 graduating seniors will receive financial assistance for their education at Moraine Park Technical College this fall.
The students represent 17 of the Moraine Park District’s 27 high schools and will each receive a $400 general scholarship. The students, along with their hometowns and high schools, include Matthew Mildebrandt of Green Lake, Winnebago Lutheran; Travis Core of Waupun, Waupun High; Samantha Krebs of Hartford, Slinger High; Nathaniel Revels of Ripon, Ripon High; Brooke Sosinsky of Neshkoro, Princeton High; Matthew Wagner of Malone, New Holstein High; Cody Wasmund of Mayville, Mayville High; Amanda Perry of Ripon, Markesan High; Sterling Sosinski of Fond du Lac, Lomira High; Amber Bartow of Van Dyne, Laconia High; Brittany Kluewer of Hustisford, Hustisford High; Aaron Herbst of Horicon, Horicon High; Brittany Anderson of Malone, Fond du Lac High; Brian Kartechner of Waupun, Central Wisconsin Christian; Matthew Chern of Campbellsport, Campbellsport High; Megan Nickel of Berlin, Berlin High; and Kyle Schade of Beaver Dam, Beaver Dam High.
The Moraine Park Foundation also has general and designated scholarships available. Designated scholarships have some restrictions and are based on donations received from individuals, business and industry, community organizations and other foundations. In 2007-08, 132 scholarships were awarded for a total of almost $100,000; scholarship amounts ranged from $200 to $2,000. The 2008-09 application deadline is June 20.
