In a move that will strengthen Moraine Park Technical College’s strategic focus for the long term, Jonathan “Josh” Bullock of Fond du Lac has been chosen for the newly created role of vice president of strategic advancement for the College.
Bullock has been with Moraine Park since 2002, with his most recent role being that of institutional research and quality improvement partner. As vice president, he will continue to direct that department while also focusing on long-term strategic planning and direction.
“Our District Board recognizes the need to have a vice president devoted to strategic advancement, thus positioning us to meet our goals,” said Moraine Park President Gayle Hytrek. “With Josh guiding our strategic initiatives, Moraine Park will continue its leadership in educational reform through proactive educational initiatives that promote economic development throughout our district and Wisconsin. Developing key partnerships will be imperative to accomplishing this and I am confident that Josh will foster these relationships.”
“Economic, societal and demographic changes are creating a greater need for long-term strategic planning,” said Bullock. “Ensuing changes have created an opportunity for the College to place greater emphasis on planning for its future, which includes building upon existing relationships within its communities and growing new relationships. Our focus will continue to be the long-term economic sustainability of the College, our district communities and the state.”
Bullock holds a bachelor’s of business administration in marketing from the University of Wisconsin Madison and a master’s of business administration from UW Oshkosh. He is working on a doctorate in educational administration and leadership from Marian University, where he has been an evening/weekend instructor in the Adult Accelerated Program since 1993. Bullock is also a 2004 graduate of the Wisconsin Leadership Development Institute.
Among his many current professional and community activities, he is a member of the Moraine Park Association for Career and Technical Education; the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce Communications Council; the City of Fond du Lac Police and Fire Commission; the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Fond du Lac; the Marketing Committee of the Fond du Lac Family YMCA; and the Fox Valley Healthcare Alliance.
