Moraine Park offers training opportunities in September

Moraine Park Technical College offers ongoing credit and noncredit training opportunities for business and industry to help them improve their competitive edge as well as develop and retain a skilled workforce.


Several courses are scheduled for September, including:


Lean Enterprise Overview: Thursday, Sept. 11, 8 a.m.-12 p.m., Room T-105, West Bend campus. See how implementing Lean can impact your bottom line. Cost is $125, which includes materials and refreshments.


Leadership Development – Intermediate Series: Five seminars offered Sept. 16-Nov. 11, 8 a.m.-12 p.m., Room
T-117, West Bend campus.Prerequisite: Leadership Series – Foundational. Cost is $709, which includes materials and refreshments.


White Belt Training: Six seminars offered Wednesdays, Sept. 17-Oct. 22, 6-10 p.m., Room T-104, West Bend campus. Introduce basic Six Sigma tools and improvement philosophy to a large percentage of your workforce. Cost is $650, which includes materials and refreshments.


North American Technician Excellence (NATE) Training/Review Core and Gas Heating Servicing: Wednesday, Sept. 17, 1:30-5:30 p.m., Room O-103, Fond du Lac campus. The NATE study guide and competencies will be used in this preparatory session. Cost is $249, which includes book, materials and refreshments. Technicians may take the NATE core or gas heating ($125 each) or both ($220) tests on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at the Fond du Lac campus. Register by Sept. 15 to ensure your place and avoid a late fee.


Identity Theft Privacy Compliance and Data Security: Tuesday, Sept. 23, 8-10 a.m., Room O-104, Fond du Lac campus. Learn how to protect your company and employees from identity theft and data breaches. Cost is $60, which includes materials and refreshments. 


Finance and Accounting for Non-Financial Managers: Friday, Sept. 26, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Room O-103, Fond du Lac campus. Learn the basic concepts of accounting and finance, key financial vocabulary and how to present your ideas to a financial audience. Cost is $199, which includes materials, lunch and refreshments.
