Find out what you should and should not do to protect yourself from identity theft and how thieves can obtain your identity information. JoEllen Wollangk, vice president/regional manager of the Better Business Bureau’s Northeast Wisconsin office, will present a course entitled Identity Theft and Scams at Moraine Park Technical College’s Beaver Dam campus on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The session will also explore the latest trends, examples of scams that target consumers (including older adults) and how to protect yourself. Information about the Better Business Bureau, merchandise buying, giving to charitable organizations, getting out of debt and responsible use of credit will also be presented.
