Moraine Park Technical College and the Moraine Park Association for Career and Technical Education (MPACTE) are observing national Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month in February. This year’s theme is CTE: Building Blocks for a Successful Career.
“Career and technical education plays a vital role in the lives of many of our local and state residents by preparing them for successful careers in a competitive workforce,” said Jo Ann Giese-Kent, president of MPACTE. “It's exciting that the State of Wisconsin is recognizing CTE Month officially this year. Governor Jim Doyle recently proclaimed February 2009 as CTE Month and commends this observance to all citizens.”

Greiber Award of Merit in the Business and Individual categories, the Rodney Pasch Leadership Award and the George P. Hambrecht Award that is given to an employee who has worked in career and technical education for more than 25 years.
