Moraine Park Technical College offers ongoing credit and noncredit training opportunities for business and industry to help improve their competitive edge as well as develop and retain a skilled workforce.
Listed here are a few of the courses that are available in April:
White Belt Training: Tuesdays, April 7, 14 and 21, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Room E-141, Fond du Lac campus. Provides the core fundamentals of Six Sigma with a focus on quality improvement tools, basic statistics and control methods. Cost is $650 per person, which includes materials, lunch and refreshments.
Sexual Harassment? You Decide: Thursday, April 9, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Room K-202, Beaver Dam campus. Using examples from real-life situations, discuss which behaviors constitute sexual harassment. Cost is $99 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.
Leadership Development – Foundational Series: Six Mondays, April 13 to May 18, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.,
Room T-117, West Bend campus. This series delivers high-performance strategies for personal leadership that keep your employees on track and moving in the right direction. Learn how to link performance to organizational strategic goals. Cost is $889 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.
Selling Through Stellar Service ™: Wednesday, April 22, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Thursday, April 23, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., Room A-112, Fond du Lac campus. Consists of two parts: Guiding Customer Conversations® and Expanding Customer Conversations®. Cost is $479 per person, which includes materials, refreshments and Wednesday lunch.
Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional: Friday, April 24, 2 to 4 p.m., Room O-107, Fond du Lac campus. Learn how to conduct collaborative online meetings through video conferencing, chatting and screen sharing, and how to create interactive PowerPoint presentations using Adobe Presenter. Cost is $59 per person, which includes materials.
Quickbooks Pro 2008 – Level 2: Tuesday and Thursday, April 28 and 30, 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Room O-107.1,
Fond du Lac campus. This intermediate course covers editing, customizing and tracking inventory; sales tax issues; and payroll-related functions (employees, taxes, printing checks and 1099s). Quickbooks Pro 2008 – Level 1 or previous Quickbooks experience is recommended. Cost is $229 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.
