Moraine Park marketing students head to national competition

Eleven Moraine Park Technical College students from the Marketing program competed at the recent Wisconsin Marketing and Management Association/DEX State Career Leadership Conference in Madison.

Six of the students qualified for the 2009 DECA International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, Calif., April 29-May 2. They include Brittany Anderson of Malone, who competed in the Travel & Tourism category; Mandie Finley of Ripon, Design Presentation; Tiffany Knoespel of Mt. Calvary, Hospitality; CJ Lewandowski of Hubertus, Financial Services; Dion Meux of Fond du Lac, Retail Management; and Shelly Puckhaber of Germantown, Retail Management.


Other Moraine Park students who competed were Mike Behn of West Bend, Advertising Campaign Team (second place); Amy Goebel of Fond du Lac, Sales Representative (second place); Melissa MacDonald of Campbellsport, Advertising Campaign Team (second place); Cody Moore of Mayville, Internet Sales; and Kayla Rieder of Fond du Lac, Fashion Merchandising.


Formerly known as the Wisconsin Marketing and Management Association (WMMA) Club, the Moraine Park Delta Epsilon Chi (DEX) chapter is part of an international organization for college students who are preparing for a variety of careers. DEX activities integrate with and enhance the student’s college curriculum. The Moraine Park DEX chapter has experienced a 38 percent growth in membership from 2007-08.
