Third Phantom Golf event aids Moraine Park students

The Moraine Park Foundation’s third annual Phantom Golf event raised just over $1,300 for scholarships for Moraine Park Technical College students.

 The four Phantom U.S. Open Golf winners, plus golf pro Bill Peters (back).

This year’s Phantom Golf was based on the 2009 U.S. Open Championship, which will take place June 15-21 at Bethpage State Park’s Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. On March 19, Phantom U.S. Open golfers “played” 18 holes of the Black Course by drawing scores from marked range balls from the comfort of their chairs at Schmitty’s Oar House in Fond du Lac. This year’s event was sponsored in part by Schmitty’s.


Top prizes included dinner packages, U.S. Bank Championship tickets, U.S. Open merchandise, concert tickets and rounds of golf.
