by admin7. April 2009 19:00Veterinary teams are invited to attend Clinical Diagnostics and Applications, a one-day seminar offered on Saturday, May 9, by Heska® Corporation in conjunction with Moraine Park Technical College.
Designed for veterinarians and certified veterinary technicians, the seminar will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Moraine Park’s West Bend campus.
Presenter Cathy Just, DVM, is a technical writer and trainer at Heska®, educating veterinary professionals on the necessity of clinical diagnostics in veterinary medicine. Her discussion will include sample collection, handling and artifacts; review of hematology basics and causes of anemia; review of chemistry basics; common RBC abnormalities and their appearance on a blood film; advanced chemistry diagnostics; the complete UA with sediment exam; and case examples.
The cost is $99 per person, which includes materials, lunch and refreshments. Continuing education certificates will be issued through Heska®.
