Revving up for its second year, the Moraine Park Car Show will roll into the C parking lot on Moraine Park Technical College’s Fond du Lac campus on Sunday, May 3.
Hosted by the Moraine Park Auto Club, a group of students enrolled in the Automotive Technician program, the show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. rain or shine, with the gate opening at 7 a.m.
Entry categories include 1930s and older, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s,1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000+, 1979 and older truck, 1980 and newer truck, custom truck, foreign, Corvette, street rod and tuner. Last year more than 100 cars were on display.
Two other Moraine Park student clubs will participate. The Culinary Arts Club will provide food and beverages for purchase, while the Cosmetology Club will offer mini manicures and temporary tattoos.
General admission is $2. Children under 12 will be admitted free. Proceeds from car registration and admission fees will go to the Auto Club for scholarships, registration and test fees for ASE certification, and educational activities such as trips to car assembly plants.
