Moraine Park Last Blasts feature free activities

Community members are invited to join in the fun when Moraine Park Technical College students at the Beaver Dam and West Bend campuses mark the end of the 2008-09 academic year with the annual Last Blasts.

 

Beaver Dam campus: Beaver Dam students will celebrate their Last Blast on Tuesday, April 28, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the commons. Black Waters Coffee Shop will serve freshly brewed coffee, other beverages and baked goods from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Balloon artist Dave Evans will wow the audience from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as he twists balloons into incredible creations. An opportunity to view and interact with exotic animals from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will provide educational entertainment for all ages. Other activities include Name Doodler (have your name doodled with your favorite theme) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a DJ and picnic lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Activities and meals are free for Moraine Park students, staff and their families. West Bend campus: On Wednesday, May 6, West Bend students will wrap up the year with a fiesta theme. This Last Blast takes place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. outdoors on the east side of the campus, with entertainment provided by DJ Shon G from Milwaukee. Participants are welcome to wear sombreros.
