Join the Moraine Park Foundation for the Phantom U.S. Open Golf Event on Thursday, May 14, at Pillars Pub in West Bend.
The real 2009 U.S. Open Championship will take place June 15-21 at Bethpage State Park’s Black Course in Farmingdale, New York. On May 14, Phantom U.S. Open golfers will “play” 18 holes of the Black Course from the comfort of their chair at Pillars Pub, 225 S. 5th Ave. Sponsored in part by Pillars Pub and West Bend Lakes Golf Club, the event is a scholarship fundraiser for Moraine Park Technical College students.
Registration begins at 6 p.m., with the game getting under way at 6:30 p.m. Participants “shoot” 18 holes by drawing scores from marked range balls, and can purchase mulligans or have the pro take their shot. Top prizes include dinner packages, U.S. Open merchandise, and rounds of golf at West Bend Lakes Golf Club. There will also be a 50-50 raffle and a skins game. Food will be served, with a cash bar available.
The entry fee is $25 per person. Purchase your ticket/reservation at the front desk of Moraine Park’s West Bend campus, or call Debbie at 920-924-3263 or e-mail email@example.com.
All proceeds will benefit the Moraine Park Foundation, Inc. For more information about the Foundation, visit www.morainepark.edu/foundation.
