Moraine Park offers business training in July

Moraine Park Technical College offers ongoing credit and noncredit training opportunities for business and industry to help improve their competitive edge as well as develop and retain a skilled workforce.


Listed here are a few of the courses that are available in July:


Adobe Acrobat Connect Professional: Tuesday, July 7, 2 to 4 p.m., Room O-106, Fond du Lac campus. Learn how to conduct collaborative online meetings through video conferencing, chatting and screen sharing, and how to create interactive PowerPoint presentations using Adobe Presenter. Cost is $59 per person, which includes materials.


Leadership Excellence – Foundational Series: Wednesdays, July 8, 15, 22 and 29, and Aug. 5 and 12, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Room T-117, West Bend campus. From AchieveGlobal, this series delivers high-performance strategies to increase the personal effectiveness of employees and establish leadership skills at all levels. Cost is $889 per person for the series, which includes materials and refreshments.


Forklift Safety: Tuesday, July 14, 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., Room B-111, Fond du Lac campus. Explore factors affecting safe operation for the operator, the load, the forklift and the physical environment. Certification is available upon completion of this eight-hour training. Cost is $60 per person, which includes a book.


Business Forms in Microsoft Word: Tuesday, July 14, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., Room O-107.1, Fond du Lac campus. Create macros for letters, memos, faxes and other business forms; use the envelopes and labels command to create professional envelopes, labels, business cards, etc.; and explore Microsoft templates and clip art. A jump drive is required. Cost is $99 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.


Introduction to Streaming Media: Thursday, July 16, 2 to 4 p.m., Room L-114, West Bend campus. Learn the best practices of streaming for the Internet including media and server types, plus hosting and encoding options. Cost is $59 per person, which includes refreshments.


Basic Video Production: Wednesday, July 22, 2 to 4 p.m., Room O-106, Fond du Lac campus. Learn how to record, import, edit and export videos using Adobe Premiere. Cost is $59 per person, which includes materials.
