Curious about the fundamentals of an economy and what makes it work? Sign up for “Armchair Economics,” a short course that will be led by former Beaver Dam Mayor Jack Hankes at Moraine Park Technical College’s Beaver Dam campus.
Offered three consecutive Mondays, Oct. 5, 12 and 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room K-208, the course will explore the origins of the present economic challenges, the role of government and others, and how the future is likely to be different than the past. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion. Some time will be spent on the math behind the concerns, and things to think about as participants save and invest for the future. The course will be politically neutral.
The cost is $30.25. To register, call 920-887-1101 or 1-800-472-4554 before Sept. 28.
