Music, a movie, a magician and an open mic – it’s all at Moraine Park Technical College in October. Also planned are blood drives at the Beaver Dam and West Bend campuses.

Fond du Lac campus: Enjoy the alternative pop/rock sound of singer/songwriter Libbie Schrader on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Schrader has opened for Jewel, and her songs have appeared on TV shows such as Gilmore Girls, The Hills, True Life and Parental Control. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and can be purchased by the general public for $5.

Free showings of the Movie of the Month will play on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Meals are available at a cost of $5 for the public.

Both events take place in the Cyber Center cafeteria. For more information, contact Adam Ninmann, Moraine Park Student Life, at 920-924-3101 or aninmann@morainepark.edu.
