Moraine Park campuses host events in November and December

Comedians, musicians and movies – you can find them all at Moraine Park campuses during November and December.


West Bend campus: On Wednesday, Nov. 11, Kevin “Damn Fool” Simpson of Chicago will bring his unique brand of humor to the Campus Café stage at 7 p.m. Simpson has appeared on P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy and Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes? The performance is free.

Beaver Dam campus: Dave Landau and Tim Costello will perform during Comedy Night on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the commons. Landau has worked with Steven Wright, Dave Chapelle, Ron White and Dennis Miller, while Costello has shared the stage with Tim Allen, Chris Rock and Dave Coulier. Cost for the general public is $5, which includes admission, snacks and soda. Audience members must be at least 18.

Fond du Lac campus: A free Movie of the Month will be shown on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.


On Wednesday, Dec. 2, enjoy the acoustic/rock music of singer/songwriter Jason LeVasseur, who was named 2008 Male Performer of the Year and 2009 Small Venue Performer of the Year by Campus Activities Magazine. The concert runs from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lunch can be purchased by the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.


The free Movie of the Month on Tuesday, Dec. 8, will have a Christmas theme. It will be shown twice from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
