Free hair, skin and nail services for cancer survivors will be offered on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 12:30 to 3:30p.m. at Moraine Park Technical College’s Fond du Lac campus in support of the national Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day.
In observance of this day, Moraine Park’s Techniques Salon and Spa will join with other salons nationwide to offer free pampering – hand massages, manicures, pedicures, facials, haircuts, etc. – for the women, men and children who have courageously fought their battle with cancer.
“Techniques is participating in the Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day because we believe that volunteerism and community service are important to the success and growth of our students and the well-being of our community,” said Jon Waldhuetter, Moraine Park dean of apprenticeship.
“We are delighted and privileged to take part in this special day for cancer survivors,” added Eileen Bouchard, Barber/Cosmetologist instructor.
