For the first time, Moraine Park Technical College’s 2008-09 online Annual Report is available in e-book format. To view it, go to www.morainepark.edu/annualreport.
Reading the College’s new Annual Report is like turning the pages of a magazine, using your computer’s mouse or the cursor keys on your keyboard. Unlike a printed magazine, the e-book also enables you to view short videos, program descriptions and Web pages wherever there are colored ovals highlighting certain words — simply click on the ovals.
“The e-book format was adopted in keeping with Moraine Park’s goal to become more ‘green,’ and also as a cost-saving measure through the removal of printing and postage,” said Dr. Gayle Hytrek, Moraine Park’s president.
The Annual Report contains stories about a fun annual project that brings together Graphic Communications students and second graders from Ripon; students from various programs putting their new skills to the test in state and national competitions; carpentry and electricity students gaining real-life experience while helping out in the community; and other features. Readers can click on a photo of the West Bend campus below the President’s Message, which activates a tour video that includes the remodeled cafeteria, student life area and library. The report wraps up with facts and figures about the College.
