Moraine Park Technical College offers ongoing credit and noncredit training opportunities for business and industry to help improve their competitive edge as well as develop and retain a skilled workforce.
Listed here are courses that are available in February:
Leveraging Grants to Support Your Training Program (Webinar): Tuesday, Feb. 2, 12 to 1 p.m. This one-hour overview provides insight into a variety of training-related topics that address workforce development needs. Free.
Designing a Videoconferencing Room: Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2 to 4 p.m., Room O-208.1, Fond du Lac campus. Learn the best practices when it comes to designing a conference room. Hands-on demonstrations and a discussion of multiple vendors and products will be featured. Cost is $67 per person, which includes materials.
Introduction to Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire Training: Monday through Friday, Feb. 8-12, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Room T-105, West Bend campus. Topics include sketching, part modeling, assemblies, drawings and basic model management techniques. A comprehensive design project provides practice in creating realistic parts, assemblies and drawings. Cost is $2,250 per person, which includes materials.
Introduction to Streaming Media: Monday, Feb. 8, 2 to 4 p.m., Room L-114, West Bend campus. Learn the best practices of streaming for the Internet. Topics includemedia and server types, plus hosting and encoding options. Cost is $67 per person, which includes materials.
Microsoft Excel 2007 – Level 1: Tuesday, Feb. 9, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Room L-114, West Bend campus. Focuses on planning, creating and modifying a spreadsheet, with emphasis on calculations, formatting and printing. Cost is $199 per person, which includes materials and lunch. Other Microsoft Access, Excel and Word classes are offered in February; visit morainepark.edu/training.
Data Page+: Tuesday through Thursday, Feb. 16-18, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Room T-104, West Bend campus. Includes an introduction to statistical process control, the use of PC-DMIS for collecting statistics, and an overview of Data Page menus. Data Page editor, database management, and macro and monitor modes also will be studied. Cost is $700 per person.
