Moraine Park offers business training in April

Moraine Park Technical College offers ongoing credit and noncredit training opportunities for business and industry to help improve their competitive edge as well as develop and retain a skilled workforce.


Listed here are courses that are available in April:


Leadership Excellence – Intermediate Series: Tuesdays, April 6 and 20, May 4 and 18, and June 1 and 15, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Room O-103, Fond du Lac campus. This series coversgiving and receiving feedback, collaboration, coaching, recognition, managing priorities and expressing oneself. Prerequisite: Leadership Excellence Foundational Series. Cost is $899 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.


PivotTables in Microsoft Excel 2007: Friday, April 9, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Room L-114, West Bend campus. Learn how to create a PivotTable based on sales data and use it to answer questions about sales and to summarize the performance of sale representatives. Prerequisite: Introductory knowledge of Excel. Cost is $199 per person, which includes materials and lunch.


PC-DMIS GD&T: Wednesday through Friday, April 14-16, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Room  T-104, West Bend campus. Learn how to apply GD&T from a measurement/inspection perspective. Includes hands-on exercises for practical experience. Cost is $1,050 per person.


Finance Essentials: Thursday, April 15, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Room O-104, Fond du Lac campus. Explore the basics of finance in business, including financial roles and responsibilities in business organizations, the purpose of financial reports and documents, the role of the federal government in regulating financial concerns, financial management and ethics. Cost is $219 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.


Basic Video Production: Tuesday, April 20, 2 to 4 p.m., Room O-107.1, Fond du Lac campus. Learn how to record, import, edit and export videos using Adobe Premiere. Cost is $67 per person, which includes materials.


Advanced Leadership Series: Thursdays, April 22 and 29 and May 6, 13 and 20, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Room K-208, Beaver Dam campus. This series equips leaders with the tools to successfully develop others within the organization. Prerequisite: Intermediate Leadership Series. Cost is $745 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.


In addition to classroom courses, Moraine Park offers a variety of online courses in partnership with ed2go® Learn More, a division of Thomson, that can be taken from your home or office at times that are convenient for you.
