Moraine Park offers business training in May

Moraine Park Technical College offers ongoing credit and noncredit training opportunities for business and industry to help improve their competitive edge as well as develop and retain a skilled workforce.


Listed here are courses that are available in May:


Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 – Level 1: Thursday, May 6, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Room T-205, West Bend campus. Jazz up your presentations to internal or external customers – learn the basics of creating electronic presentations and explore the tools in Microsoft PowerPoint 2007. Cost is $199 per person, which includes materials and lunch.


Structural Welding Certification Exams: Saturday, May 8, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Room K-401, Beaver Dam campus. Welders passing these exams are certified in all positions and gages of steel plate using SMAW (stick) electrodes. Special tests of different welding processes (GMAW, FCAW, etc.) can also be taken. Other times may be arranged for corporate consideration.Cost is $150 per person.


PC-DMIS 2010 Software Update: Wednesday and Thursday, May 12-13, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Room T-104, West Bend campus. This course enables users running legacy versions to understand the new architecture of 2010 and its added functionality. Cost is $700 per person.


Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 – Level 2: Thursday, May 13, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Room T-205, West Bend campus. Using intermediate features, learn how to customize the PowerPoint environment, make a design template, add diagrams and special effects, explore options for your slide show and collaborate on presentations. Cost is $199 per person, which includes materials and lunch.


Advanced Custom Manufacturing for the Military: Tuesday, May 18, 1 to 4:30 p.m., Room T-101, West Bend campus. Targeted to businesses currently active in pursuing DOD parts contracts, this seminar is designed to take you to the next level in your military contracting efforts. Cost is $30 per person. Selling to the State of Wisconsin: Thursday, May 20, 9 to 11:30 a.m., Room K-321, Beaver Dam campus. This comprehensive seminar provides a foundation for contracting with the State of Wisconsin. Cost is $30 per person. Register at
