Moraine Park offers business training in June

Moraine Park Technical College offers ongoing credit and noncredit training opportunities for business and industry to help improve their competitive edge as well as develop and retain a skilled workforce.


Listed here are courses that are available in June:


Microsoft Access 2007 – Level 3: Thursday, June 3, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Room O-107, Fond du Lac campus. Explore the specialized and advanced capabilities of Access including structuring existing data, writing advanced queries, developing macros, enhancing forms and maintaining a database. Prerequisites: Levels 1 and 2. Cost is $199 per person, which includes materials and lunch.


Export Documentation: Wednesday, June 9, 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Room A-112, Fond du Lac campus. Expand your business internationally – learn about the country-specific documentation used in the export shipment process from quotation to exportation. Cost is $99 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.


Export Compliance: Wednesday, June 9, 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., Room A-112, Fond du Lac campus. Covers exporter responsibilities as defined in the Export Administration Regulations. Cost is $99 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.


OSHA 10 – 1910 General Industry: Thursdays, June 10 and 17, 5:30 to 9 p.m., Room T-118, West Bend campus. Fulfills the requirements for the OSHA 10-hour Outreach Training for General Industry. Topics include walking and working surfaces, exit routes, emergency action plans, personal protective equipment, hazard communications, bloodborne pathogens and more. Students will receive an OSHA 10 card to document successful completion. Cost is $265 per person, which includes materials. An OSHA 10 – 1926 Construction Industry seminar begins June 14.


Chinese 2 for Professionals: Thursdays, June 17 to July 8, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Room L-141, West Bend campus. Builds on Chinese 1 and broadens cultural and conversational skills, with a focus on understanding pronunciation, vocabulary, phrases, sentences and basic grammar. Cost is $320 per person, which includes materials and refreshments.


Introduction to Mastercam X4: Monday and Tuesday, June 21-22, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Room T-205, West Bend campus. The Introduction to Mastercam X4 class is required for all Mastercam users and covers all aspects of operation, system orientation, operator interface, configuration, 2D geometry construction and dimensioning. Cost is $675 per person, which includes materials.


ISO Executive Information Briefings: Wednesday, June 23, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., Room A-112, Fond du Lac campus, and Thursday, June 24, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., Room T-118, West Bend campus. Management teams can discover how the 26-week ISO 9000/TS16949 Certification Preparation program can help minimize their company’s cost and management time while preparing for certification. Each session is free, but seating is limited and registration is required.


In addition to classroom courses, Moraine Park offers a variety of online courses in partnership with ed2go® Learn More, a division of Thomson, that can be taken from your home or office at times that are convenient for you.
