Starting Saturday, Oct. 30, Moraine Park Technical College’s Beaver Dam campus will host ACT Prep Plus classes to help high school students be better prepared to take the ACT college entrance exam.
The ACT Assessment is a standardized college entrance exam used by colleges throughout the country as part of their admissions requirements. ACT Prep Plus consists of five classes that focus on the four ACT subject areas and test-taking strategies. Because the curriculum uses actual ACT problems, students gain a competitive edge on test day.
Classes will take place on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon in Room K-201/202. The dates and subjects are as follows:
• Saturday, Oct. 30 – English content
• Saturday, Nov. 6– reading and writing content
• Saturday, Nov. 13 – math and science content
• Saturday, Nov. 20 – continued math content
• Saturday, Dec. 4– full 3.5-hour practice test (runs until 12:30 p.m.)
The cost for all five classes is $125. Students can pick up a brochure from their high school guidance counselor.
A registration form is included in the brochure, or students can contact ACT Prep Plus, LLC in Menomonee Falls at 262-255-9580. For more information, contact Bonnie Weiland Hare at 920-887-4441 or firstname.lastname@example.org..
