Five Counties for Tobacco Free Living holds legislative breakfast

Moraine Park recognized

Ending the tobacco epidemic in Wisconsin is top priority for the Five Counties for Tobacco Free Living organization. Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Waushara, Marquette and Washington Counties are teaming up to face new challenges in fighting tobacco use in the region.

Moraine Park received the Tobacco Control Coalition Award of Excellence at the annual legislative breakfast. Pictured left is Sandy Bernier, Tobacco Control Program Coordinator and Bonnie Baerwald, VP of Finance and Facilities, on behalf of Moraine Park.

The annual Five Counties for Tobacco Free Living legislative breakfast was held on May 25. Each year the organization recognizes individuals or organizations for their efforts to help decrease the death and disease associated with tobacco use and exposure. Moraine Park Technical College was recognized with the Award of Excellence for creating and maintaining a tobacco-free college campus policy that prohibits tobacco use anywhere on property owned or leased by Moraine Park. Bonnie Baerwald, vice president of finances and facilities accepted the award on behalf of Moraine Park.
