Get your GPS systems ready, this is a bash like no other. In preparation for the fourth annual West Bend Cache Ba$h event August 12-13, Moraine Park Technical College will offer a geocaching class on Moraine Park’s West Bend campus Thursday, July 14, from 1 to 5 p.m.

Geocaching is a real-world outdoor treasure hunting game. Players try to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, using GPS-enabled devices and then share their experiences online.

Class instructor William Taves has been a geocacher for over four years and ranks number 39 out of 3,750 geocachers. He has hidden 250 geocaches and is a member of the Wisconsin Geocaching Association, helping plan and implement events and classes through the organization.

Spending about ten hours per week geocaching, Taves is also a member of the West Bend Cache Ba$h planning committee.

The cost of the class is $15.19, and the senior citizen discount is $4. Registration is required and can be completed by calling 800-472-4554 or 262-335-3413.
