Moraine Park Technical College welcomed Scott Lieburn as Dean of Students in September. Because he received his educational start with a degree from Milwaukee Area Technical College, Lieburn is especially able to relate to students at Moraine Park. He received his bachelor’s degree from Concordia University and his master’s from Silver Lake College.

Prior to Moraine Park, Lieburn was employed at Lakeshore Technical College for 12 years. Lieburn is going on his 24th year serving in the Wisconsin Air National Guard. He is also serving his second elected term on the Kiel Area School Board of Education.

Moraine Park welcomed Scott Lieburn as new Dean of Students. He is looking forward to sharing his passion for education and student achievement.

So far, Lieburn has received a warm welcome from Moraine Park students, faculty and staff. “I’m looking forward to getting to know our students and staff on a personal level. I want to be an advocate for our students while holding them accountable.” Lieburn also has plans to start a Student Veterans of America chapter at Moraine Park.

Lieburn says Moraine Park is a perfect fit, allowing him to share his passion for education and student achievement. “I love being able to help students achieve their goals. I think teaching students how to overcome obstacles they face on their current personal journey will only help them succeed when they leave Moraine Park for a career or additional education.” Lieburn resides in Kiel.

Moraine Park Technical College was established in 1912, and is one of 16 technical college districts that make up the Wisconsin Technical College System. With campuses in Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac and West Bend, Moraine Park offers more than 100 associate of applied science degrees, technical diplomas, apprenticeships and certificates delivered in a variety of formats — classroom, online and blended. Training and technical assistance for businesses is also offered.
