Free event to be held Dec. 7
If the college financial aid process leaves you with more questions than answers, plan now to attend “Where Do I Start? Demystifying the Financial Aid Process,” Wednesday, Dec. 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Fond du Lac High School Performing Arts Center.
This free event, sponsored by the Fond du Lac School District, Marian University, Moraine Park Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac, is open to anyone wanting to learn more about the financial aid process, including filling out the FAFSA form; financial aid strategies and timelines; and scholarship opportunities.
Fond du Lac School District Superintendent James Sebert will kick off the evening and also lead a brief higher education panel discussion with Fond du Lac’s postsecondary institution leaders including Dr. John N. Short, UW-Fond du Lac CEO and dean, Moraine Park President Sheila Ruhland and Dr. Steven DiSalvo, Marian University president.
The event will wrap up with a chance for attendees to get their individual questions answered with a one-on-one question and answer period with financial aid representatives from all of the sponsoring colleges as well as the Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation.
All those in attendance will be entered into a prize drawing to be held at the event.
