Moraine Park students recently attended a Wisconsin Student Government (WSG) meeting and Legislative Seminar in Madison. WSG is a student-run organization that represents over 400,000 technical college students in the state. It is a coalition of students and student governments that aims to provide a collective voice for all students through advocacy and direct action.

The purpose of the Legislative Seminar is for students to learn more about how to advocate for the needs of technical colleges and students as well as meet their area legislators. Moraine Park students visited the capitol and met with representatives and senators to share their own personal stories and support the position of WSG on important issues.

Students who attended the seminar were: William Milbrot of Mayville, Raymond Budnik of Slinger, John Lippold of Jackson, Dan Pater of Fond du Lac, Jon Ahrens of Green Lake, Sarah Whiting of Juneau and Kirsten Lynch of Beaver Dam.
