Electricity students from Moraine Park Technical College returned from the Skills USA Residential Wiring Competition in Wisconsin Dells with first, second and third place medals in hand.
In the Industrial Motor Controls competition, Istvan Biro of West Bend, Derrick Will of Cedar Grove, and Edward Pieper of Hustisford, placed first, second and third, respectively.  In Electrical Construction Wiring, Max Paulus of Fredonia, Frank Conkey of Beaver Dam, and Brandon Weickert of West Bend placed first, second and third, respectively.
“All the competitors did a great job,” said Mark Wamsley, Moraine Park electricity instructor. “It’s not about winning or losing; Skills USA is a place for the students to  show off their talents and get some payback for all the hard work they have done to get this far.”
Paulus will be competing at nationals in Electrical Construction Wiring and Biro will be competing at nationals in Industrial Motor Control. The competitions will be held in Kansas City, Mo., in late June. “They are both very excited to be representing Moraine Park at nationals,” said Wamsley.
